Cookie policy

What this website stores in your browser, why, and how to decide about it.

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser to remember something from one page to the next or between visits. Other browser technologies, such as local storage and session storage, serve the same purpose and are subject to the same rules, and in this policy we treat them in the same way.

This policy complies with Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE and with the Spanish Data Protection Agency's guide on the use of cookies, and, for users in Andorra, with Andorra's Llei 29/2021, of October 28, on the protection of personal data (LQPD).

02What this website uses

What is strictly necessary for the website to work, detailed below, and the measurement tools in the “Analytics cookies” section: those that use cookies, only if you accept them. What is necessary is dlever's own, stays in your browser and is not used to identify you or for advertising:

  • NEXT_LOCALE (cookie): remembers the language you have chosen. It is deleted when you close the browser.
  • dlever:cookies (local storage): stores your decision about analytics cookies for twelve months, so that we do not ask you again on every visit.
  • Side menu preference (local storage): remembers whether you prefer the page menu expanded or collapsed.
  • Visit path (session storage): the page you came from, your reading position in a document and whether you have already seen the entry screen, so that “back” takes you to where you were. It is deleted when you close the tab.

03Necessary cookies

These are the ones in the previous section. They do not require your consent because without them the website could not provide the service you request (changing the language, remembering your decision about cookies or returning to where you were), and that is why they are always active.

04Analytics cookies

To understand how the website is used, we use these tools:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited): how many people visit the website, where they come from, which pages they read and which forms they submit, without identifying you. Cookies _ga and _ga_…, up to two years. Only with your permission.
  • Hotjar (Hotjar Ltd.): heatmaps and browsing recordings, with anything typed into the forms always hidden, to see where a page gets stuck. Cookies _hjSessionUser_…, one year, and _hjSession_…, thirty minutes. Only with your permission.
  • Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights (Vercel Inc.): count visits and measure loading speed in aggregate. They do not store cookies or anything else in your browser and do not identify you, which is why they do not depend on the notice.

Those that store cookies are only loaded if you accept the “Analytics” category in the notice. If you reject them, or later withdraw your permission, they are not loaded and we delete any cookies they may have left. We ask for your decision again after twelve months.

05How to change your decision

You can accept, reject or configure analytics cookies from the notice that appears when you arrive, and change your mind at any time from Cookie settings, in the footer and in the policies drop-down. Rejecting them does not restrict access to any content.

You can also delete the website's cookies and storage from your browser settings. If you do, the website will forget your language and your decision about cookies, and will ask you again.
